Wish I had found this site looong ago. I made it to the 10th reunion, but had heard nothing since then. Facebook has turned out to be a very good venue for reconnecting. I have enjoyed reading about everyone and their lives. We are certainly a wide-spread group. I have been in Ames and at Iowa State University since Oct. '89. I started out in Lab. Animal Resources working with all the research animals (everything from mice and rats to cows and horses and everything in between). Then I joined a research lab working on poultry immunogenetics (publishing a paper shortly before I left). Now, in what I hope is my last stop at ISU is the Diagnostic Lab. at the Vet. School, working in the Serology Section. My only children are 4-legged. There is Bonnie - a 16 year old brain damaged tortie mixed breed cat who is the love of my life. The other member of my household is Boo, a purebred American Shorthair and one of the cats I bred in the short amount of time I was in the cat breeding business. I would love to hear from any of my classmates and am not sure about being able to the reunion. Will have to see closer to the actual date. My email address - halfbakedash@msn.com |

Great job on the website! I retired from the Navy in 1998. We live in a suburb of Seattle where I work as an administrator at an alternative high school. The wife is in management with Four Seasons Hotels. She transfers around the country a lot as part of her job (currently at F.S. Beverly Hills), so it’s just me and my 12 year old daughter up here (and 2 dogs a cat and a parrot). We got a little house down by the lake, a little car and a nice little life. Wish you all the best of everything... |

My husband, Gary, and I have lived in Japan now for 32 years, working with Japanese churches. Gary is a pastor, and we have helped to start 3 churches. We raised two boys in Japan that are now both married. One son lives in Tokyo and has 3 kids, and one son lives in KC. It is great to see our grandkids once in awhile when we are in Tokyo. I avoided doing a foreign language in high school, and now I'm living overseas and speaking Japanese! Living in a country while learning a language was a big help. One thing I have been able to do all these years that is connected to high school is play percussion. I played in the college Wind Ensemble and Orchestra at our school in Chicago. While we have been in Japan, I've taught some percussion, and also play percussion during our worship services. Sorry I will miss the 40th reunion. It doesn't seem like it has been that long ago! I've been slowly reconnecting with people through Facebook, so I've been catching up with what people have been doing. Hope everyone has a great time together!!
