SCHOOL FACTS
-In 1876 a class of 9 became Mankato's first high school graduates
 
Homecoming 1974/1975 - Queen Candidates were - Lisa Buscher, Pam Kelly, Jane Wood, Sue Neubert, Cindy Hakes. Escorts were: Brain Gould, Drew Campbell, Dave Macias, Brett Bender and Dan Craig.  Queen Jane Wood was crowned.
 
Class Officers were:  Jane Wood-President - Lisa Buscher- VP, Dave Graham - Treasurer and Lynda Boughten - Secretary
 
-1974 Fall Play was GodSpell
-1975 Spring Play was Mikado
-Snow Week the Class of 1975 won the snow sculputure - Senior High

-Traditional hangouts were  - The tracks, school lobby and The Rock
-The cliques were Jock - Jockettes - Googs and Motorheads
-Good Old Fred (Scarlet Mascot) was retired and replaced with Fred II - a white and red teddy bear
-Senior Prom was held at the Kato Ballroom - We May Never Pass This Way Again
 
-Class Cheer - We have Spirit Pep and Jive - We are the Class of 75
 
-Class of 75 was the 100th class to graduate from Mankato High School
-Class of 75 was the 2nd Class to gradute from Mankato West
 
-June 1975 - 281 seniors graduated. Class Speakers were Leah Elrod and Becky Welty
The ceremony ended with an enthuiastic Eat Em Up! yell

The Fall of Saigon on April 30 marked the end of the Vietnam War, with the evacuation of Americans and the surrender of South Vietnam.

Microsoft Founded: Microsoft was founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen to develop and sell BASIC interpreters for the Altair 8800 personal computer.

Assassination Attempts on President Ford:  President Ford survived two assassination attempts in September, one in Sacramento by Lynette Fromme and another in San Francisco by Sara Jane Moore.
